And I only fell once, and mostly because I was trying to avoid a slow-moving kid that got in front of me… and that whole “not so good at stopping” thing.  Not bad for someone who hasn’t skated in 25-30 years.  Most of the people out there were either less stable than I was or not much better, so I didn’t feel so bad… except when that one guy would go dancing past like he was born on roller-skates.  Screw that guy.  😛  (He was honestly really frickin’ impressive.)  The kids all had themselves a great time, and even those that hadn’t skated before were getting more confident by the time we all left.  Kia and Arwyn have been practicing in the basement hallway, so they were actually pretty good from the start.  Excluding stopping, naturally.  😉

I’m wearing my tribute to fantasy movies of the 80s, which was the last time I skated anywhere resembling regularly, and Stacy’s going all ninja with her black shirt.  Arwyn’s got on her “We rock the town” shirt on, while Kia’s declares that everyone should “Adopt a Cathulhu” because, seriously, why wouldn’t you?  Look at that adorable little monstrosity!
