Grand Rapids Comic Con was a blast, as always, though I have to admit that half the fun is watching the girls enjoying themselves – and all the people gushing over how adorable/awesome/adorably awesome/awesomely adorable they are.  And, no, I’m not even a little ashamed to admit that there’s a sense of validation every time someone comments on how great their costumes look.  ;P  The best question I heard, though, was a guy who asked if we let them pick their own Voltron colours, which is a definite “yes!”  That’s a guy who’s excited to see kids into geek culture by their own volition.

I’m wearing a new Firefly-inspired shirt, which warns “Danger:  Terrifying Space Monkeys” – yes, they were mentioned by Mal in one episode.  It was hilarious!  🙂  Stacy’s wearing a Celtic knotwork battle axe, and the girls… well, they’re in costume, obviously.  All outfits were sewn by Stacy, the Voltron bayards (the things in their hands) were my work, as was ghostbuster proton pack (it’s got mylar strips that blow around when you turn it on  😀 ).  The helmets were made by Grandpa Bill, so it was a family effort.
