Yes, this conversation really took place.  Yes, for a rather intelligent man, I say some suicidally stupid things.  And, yes, the process of a natural birth looks absolutely impossible on paper, yet somehow it manages to happen.  I rate this right up there with bumblebees being able to fly.  Nature is a miraculous thing.  Also, more proof that my wife is awesome:  She references sci-fi in regular conversation.  😀

For accuracy’s sake, she didn’t actually smack me, as we were in the middle of class… she elbowed me repeatedly, though.
